I am Ms Sassy my born name Sarah Butler born November 15 currently married to Christopher Alexander one of Chicago's best drummers. I am the mother of 5 grown adults 3 daughters plus 1 bonus daughter and 1 son. I am the proud grandma of 9. Born and raised in the Robert Taylor Holmes Projects on the South side with my mom Rosie Butler(RIP) and my dad Alexander Butler(RIP), 6 sisters and 4 brothers. I am child number 7. Randy Johnson (RIP) my mentor wen  he heard me sing dared me to stop and as long as he was in control made sure I sang.  He is and will always be my hero, and insiration. He told me never stop and I won't in his honor. I  have been preforming for a total of four (10+) years, which had a short delay from the COVID Pandemic. My passion for music has been all my life. I didn't grow up in a musical surrounding but I always had that passion for performing.  I always imagined myself on a stage.  Mom told me that my Uncles and Aunts had and have beautiful singing voices.  I didn't believe that for myself  until God closed one book and had me write another one.  This time it was my book not the one I settled for. I used to love hearing my dad sing and I love Motown music, but nothing touched me like the Blues. To me the Blues describes the reality of life. “I lIke to keep it real”.  I am an Original! My goals in the Blues industry is to present the Blues Ms Sassys way but still staying with the traditional style. All the honors that God have for me to receive I'm reaching for them all, even The Queen of Blues. I know I got to earn my spot that is what I am doing taking it step by step! I have shared the stage with Mud Morganfield (eldest son of Muddy waters) Mike Wheeler with Larry Williams, Sharon Lewis(RIP), Jon McDonald Randy Johnson and many more. My idles are Koko Taylor, Etta James, Demetria Taylor, Sharon Lewis, Shirley Johnson and many more.

So I am telling Every body. To tell Somebody
